Description
It's time to get back to the wonder of Science, and The California Academy of Science is thrilled to welcome you back with two brand new attractions. One of nature’s most powerful tools, Venom has the power to paralyze - and the potential to heal. Encounter a potent array of over a dozen venomous species in the Academy's all-new aquarium exhibit. Open now through January 23, 2022, see Sharks, a traveling exhibition created by Grande Experiences. Learn about one of the most awe-inspiring and misunderstood creatures on the planet and the critical role sharks play in ocean ecosystems around the globe. Of course there's still the classics to enjoy -  the Aquarium, Morrison Planetarium, Osher Rainforest, and the Kimball Natural History Museum. Meet Claude, the American alligator with albinism, hang out with the African Penguin colony, and the 38,000 other live animals. Designed by award-winning architect Renzo Piano, located in the center of beautiful Golden Gate Park, the Academy will inspire lifelong curiosity for the natural world as you experience the depths of a Philippine coral reef, climb into the canopy of a Costa Rican rainforest and fly to the outer reaches of the Universe. Let the experience begin!
