The ABA originated the 3-pt shot, the shot clock and the slam dunk contest and is played with the well-known red, white and blue ball. Your family will have a blast watching real, above the rim, local professional basketball. Come support and cheer the home team joining a thousand other fans!

ABA, American Basketball Assoc. is famous for Dr. J (Julius Irving), the first Michael Jordan, who played there, then in the NBA.  Four ABA teams, Denver, San Antonio, Indiana and New Jersey merged in the NBA in 1974 as did many players. 

The ABA originated the 3-pt shot, the time clock and the slam dunk contest and is played with the well-known red, white and blue ball.  The ABA was re-born in 2000, now with over 100 teams nationwide with 6-teams in the so. cal. division, including Or. Cnty, L.A., Fresno, Las Vegas and Phoenix will commence the 2012-2013 season next month.

S.D. SURF BASKETBALL is starting its 4th season with a history of winning playoff births in the previous three seasons and playing games in Mexico and 3 tours to China.  Former and current Surf players have played in the NBA, D-League, Europe, Mid East, Russia and South American teams.
