Worth Its Weight: Gold from the Ground Up, that will be going on until December 30th, 2016. This exhibit will take you through the most spectacular and most unexpected ways gold has influenced American culture. Take a look into its uses in entertainment, pop culture, science, technology, finance and economics. Make your way to
America In Circulation: A History of US Currency Featuring the Collection of Mark R. Shenkman. This is one of the most fascinating exhibits that features more than 250 notes from the Colonial era to the present day. The environment that these notes are in allows museum goers to interact with rare examples of currency. You'll be able to see signatures of signers of the US Constitution and Declaration of Independence; a complete set of notes from the Educational Series of 1896, renowned for being the most beautiful paper money in American history, and much more. The Financial Markets. It is the largest of the permanent exhibits that lets guests become a part of the world famous Wall Street. They share the experience by having media towers representing three of New York's exchanges: the New York Stock Exchange, the CME Group, and a major bond desk. You'll hear from informative leaders and traders from each of these exchanges.
The Banking in America exhibit will show you that banking has been and likely will remain a crucial component of the financial system and the larger economy. In America, we owe a lot of credit to the early entrepreneurs this country has had. The
Entrepreneurs exhibit will commemorate various entrepreneurs that have become a foundation to the country. The video interviews will show 16 modern day entrepreneurs and tell how they creatively looked at the opportunity upon them and took the initiative to achieve success. The Museum's
Alexander Hamilton Room was designed in the federalist style in 1927 and originally served as the Bank of New York president's office. This room pays tribute to the Walton House, where the bank first conducted business. Visitors will be able to see signed documents from the late Alexander Hamilton. independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) Smithsonian affiliate creating non-ideological presentations and programs for purposes of education and general public awareness. After you spend the day at all exhibits, make sure you stop by the
Museum Shop. This is the country's only finance-themed museum store and here you will find a numerous amount of carefully selected merchandise.
