FanX Salt Lake didn't happen in 2020, but not to worry - FanX Salt Lake is back in a big way for 2021. You can expect it to be bigger, badder and better than ever. The world-class pop culture phenomenon has become the most attended convention in the state of Utah, and it is easy to see why. With Celebrity Guest Panels, Autograph signings, Photo ops, gaming competitions, Cosplay Contests, Special Events, KidCon, and the Film Festival, there is something for everyone. Attendees can get up-close and interact with their favorite actors, authors, artists, and stars. With guests from TV shows and films such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Firefly, The Walking Dead, and more, FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention is the ultimate fan celebration! FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention is a family friendly event
All babies and children 10 years old and younger are FREE with the purchase of an Adult Pass
There will be a specified Family Room. This room's purpose is for families to have a space to take children who need to decompress. It will also include a secluded area for mothers to nurse
Food courts are available at the expo with a flotilla of food trucks outside!
Photography is allowed. When taking pictures, be courteous and aware of others around you, while on the showroom floor, or at the celebrity booths
Make sure to wear comfortable shoes
ATM’s will be available throughout the showroom floor and many booths and artist are now taking credit cards - however, there is nothing like stone cold hard cash! Plus it is one less line you have to wait in
Parking can be found in several different places around the convention center at varying price rates. Click here to view options
The Temple Square TRAX stop is just a few blocks north of the Salt Palace
There will Not Be lockers or a coat check to store your stuff while at the convention
There will not be charging stations for your phone/tablet. However, there will be wall outlets throughout the convention center you can use
WiFi is not available
FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention is using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) wristbands. These are individual and personalized to your ticket through a unique microchip in the wristband. This will make your convention experience better, smoother, easier, FASTER, and more fun!
You will not be allowed to enter the event floor without a wristband properly secured around your wrist. No exceptions will be made

Admission Tickets do not include entry to special events (ex: FanX Bash) or paid panels (ex: Ultimate Xperience)
No level of ticket grants you guaranteed admission to Panels and Special Events
All Guest appearances and event schedules are subject to change
Children ages 11-15 will require their own VIP JR Pass to use VIP Perks. If you have a VIP Pass, two children 10 years old and younger per VIP JR Pass will be allowed to attend panels and use express lines as a VIP pass holder
Wristbands must be worn at all times. Wristbands cannot be shared and are not transferable
Strollers are allowed but please be courteous to fellow attendees (Strollers are not allowed inside the Grand Ballroom, you will be asked to leave it parked outside the room)
Backpacks, purses & shoulder bags are allowed but are subject to search
Outside food is not allowed
Drone video or photography is strictly prohibited on or around the premises of the Salt Palace
Indoor smoking of any kind is prohibited at FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention events. Use of e-cigarettes is also prohibited
FanX® has a zero-tolerance harassment policy and prohibits harassment of convention participants. Convention participants violating these rules may be issued a warning or expelled from the convention without a refund at the discretion of the convention organizers if they do not comply

Frequently Asked Questions

Will masks be required? I am vaccinated and I cant breath with a mask. I get panic attacks.

There is no mask mandate at this time. We will follow all state guidelines at the time of our show.

Can I get a list of the panels? I want to go but if its only to see one panel its not worth it to me.

When will I receive my wristbands?

Wristbands will be delivered closer to the event if you ordered before June 27th. If you ordered after that date you will need to pick up your tickets at the event.

Can I rent a wheelchair for the event?

The Salt Palace Business Center handles all wheelchair rentals directly, they can be reached at 385-468-2228. They have limited numbers and frequently are sold out, so call as early as you can to guarantee a wheelchair. You may also bring your own or one rented from another location.

I have a ten year old son and it says that he is supposed to be free is that true?

Yes. All babies and children 10 years old and younger are FREE with the purchase of an Adult Pass.
