Fortify your heart, body and spirit as you join forces with other like-minded people, walking and running in the 10k and 5k to strengthen resolve for healthy living, good American values, and education for prevention of heart disease and stroke. Participants will range from those who've never run before to those who train with regular athleticism, but everyone is in it together to NEVER QUIT. You'll start out at the beautiful Clearwater Beachwalk, make your way across the famous Memorial Causeway Bridge, and then return to the Beachwalk for a blue carpet finish and a proud service member welcome. At the finish line, you'll have your choice of prizes, but the best part won't be the souvenirs - it'll be the enduring sense of pride and connection you've built over the last 3.1 or 6.2 miles, that you'll carry with you for the rest of your life.

In 2006, Captain Gerard Petroni, an active, healthy man who valued family and faith, suffered a massive stroke, leaving him unable to walk, eat, or speak.
