You know all about the walking undead -- now what about the kind that chase you? This isn't your normal 5K obstacle race; as you conquer the course, zombies will be trained to know your every move while you've got one goal in mind: survival. They're after your life (or the flags on your belt), and your job is to use your wits and athletic ability to avoid biological infection, and cross the finish line unscathed. Chances of survival alone are non-existent. Recruit your friends. They make great zombie bate while you attempt survival. Along the way, you'll also encounter obstacles that will require you to jump, climb, crawl, and get a little muddy in the process. Once you make it to the end of this truly immersive zombie experience, celebrate your victory with an action-packed after-party featuring food and drinks available for purchase, live music, contests, and your chance to dance with the undead.

Before they set foot on Zombie Charge's 5K obstacle course, participants have a choice: remain human or join the undead. Hordes of ghouls chase runners navigating 8–12 challenges—such as climbing walls and tunnels—set up throughout woodland trails, open fields, and muddy swamps. Those crossing the finish line with at least one belt flag still attached are counted among the 5K's survivors; handlers stand by with antidotes for less fortunate racers. Afterward, a Survival Party lets participants unwind with games of tug of war and corn hole, live music, or photo ops with some of the event's undead.
