The biggest and baddest obstacle race in all of North Georgia Mountains has to be the Xtreme Ranger Obstacle Race. This bi-annual event sees seasoned obstacle racers and beginners alike battling it out on a 5K mud race that pushes them to the limits with challenging obstacles, including a zip line obstacle. The course is designed with the assistance of the local Army Rangers and provides a tough yet breathtaking path along the natural terrain of the North Georgia Mountains. Participants are welcome to pace themselves, but those who race in the competitive heats have the opportunity to win cash prizes at the finish line.
