Urban Yoga Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by model/actress turned holistic practitioner, Ghylian Bell. The mission of the Urban Yoga Foundation (UYF) is to teach diverse communities to be proactive about health. The organization uses the ancient practice of yoga and related holistic approaches to provide children and parents with a means to lead healthy, happy lives. The volunteer yoga instructors at UYF (yogis, you might call them) teach community members how to use yoga to express themselves artistically, develop mind-body awareness, manage stress and even treat attention and behavioral disorders.
