• Participants should aim to arrive on site 30 minutes before your start time window
• The average finish time for a Tough Mudder 5K is 1-2 hours; for Tough Mudder Classic it’s 3.5-4 hours
• All waivers are signed electronically. Sign your waiver ahead of time to save time while checking in on event day
• Tough Mudder is not a race, nor is it about getting a better time than other competitors, so it's fine if you want to skip an obstacl
• Every course will have water stations available for participants during the event. There will also be snacks on course, typically including bananas and energy bars
• There will be plenty of bathrooms available in Mudder Village Festival. There are also bathrooms available on course for participants as they run
• Dogs are permitted at most Tough Mudder events and must be leashed and accompanied by their handler at all times while at the event. Dogs are not permitted on the Tough Mudder course at any time. However, please refer to your specific event's Digital Info Pack to see if there are updates to this at your event location
• Parking & Bag Drop are now included as a $10 fee at checkout for all 5k & Classic registrations
• Food and water will be available for purchase in the Mudder Village Festival for all attendees
• There are showers to rinse off following your run, as well as changing areas to get into fresh clothes
• We recommend wearing the following for your event
• Start with a good pair of trail running shoes with good cushioning, traction, and drainage
• Form-fitting, lightweight, breathable clothing. Be aware that the clothes you wear will get muddy and potentially damaged
• Any accessories you want to and would feel comfortable wearing  (hat, grip gloves, compression socks, hydration packs, etc.)
• A facial covering or mask that you can wear in the festival, registration and parking area. Bring a few in case one gets dirty
• Wearing hat or sunglasses? Tie them to your clothing so they don't sink in our water pits

As vaccine rollout continues across the United States and case counts continue to decline, effective June 1, 2021, Tough Mudder is relieving some of our previously enacted COVID guidelines. These new revised guidelines are in line with current guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and have been independently vetted by our independent epidemiologist experts

• In the event an individual city or state where a Tough Mudder event is held has more strict guidelines than the ones listed below, we will follow local guidance.
• Please refer to your event's Info Pack for local specifics.

Key Safety Pillars:

• Capacity Reduction & Social Distancing: We’ve launched pre-event selection of start times, and beginning with June events capacity will start to return to normal pre-COVID levels. June events will operate at 80% capacity, and events from August onward will return to 100% capacity.
• Facial Coverings: Participants and volunteers are no longer required to wear facial coverings, unless the event is using shuttle buses to transport you from parking to registration. You are of course welcome to wear a facial covering should you choose, and we will have extra ones available on-site if you need them.
• Hygiene & Reduced Contact: We’ve gone cashless, and are working to reduce contact points and known areas that cause lines across the event. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the festival, at water stations, and select obstacles on course with hand-to-hand contact.
