The Taste of Local will be Ventura's epicurean event of the season -showcasing top-line chefs who emphasize locally sourced produce, premier local wineries, breweries, distillers, purveyors, farmers, vendors that support the Ventura County agricultural industry and the Homebrew Challenge. The event is designed to help connect all the steps from field to fork. Takes place at beautiful California Historical Landmark, Olivas Adobe. Guests will be able to meet and chat with chefs, farmers and purveyors as they taste and learn about the bounty that is Ventura County. To add to the ambiance, live music from The Dan Grimm Band & Twice Western Music Association Cowboy Poetry nominee, Andria Kidd (other musicians to be announced). Each guest will receive a "passport" providing information about participating farms, chefs and purveyors.
