It's almost time for the T9 Mermaid Run East Bay. The Mermaid fun run got it's start at Quarry Lakes in 2004 and they've been returning year after year for this women focused race. Featuring a 5K, 10K, half marathon and the Sirena18 mile - there is a race suitable for all Mermaids. The course is described as "virtually flat" and follows a mix of dirt and paved trails. It is definitely a great opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and positive vibes. Mermaid series events aim to provide a positive and encouraging environment, inspiring each Mermaid athlete to cross the finish line. It's best to sign up early, the event has sold out in the past.

Bring your photo identification (ID) or a copy of your ID in order to receive your packet. A valid driver's license or a valid passport is best. Minors are not required to show a photo ID
Check-in opens at 6:00am
There is no time limit for any of the races
Baby strollers are allowed

Men can participate in the event. However, since this is primarily a women's event, men are not eligible for awards
You are required to run with your bib number. The bib is used for timing, identification and race photos
