The Introduction to Motorcycling Course is day 1 of the 2-day Basic Rider Course. Completion of the Introduction to Motorcycling Course does not result in getting your motorcycle license. If you want to get your motorcycle license, you can take the 2-day Basic Rider Course after you complete the Introduction to Motorcycling Course (you will also need to give us a photocopy of your motorcycle permit obtained from the Registry of Motor Vehicles - see the "License Steps" link on our web site for more information). We will apply 50% of your Introduction course payment toward the complete 2-day Basic Rider Course. In the Introduction to Motorcycling course, five hours are dedicated to on-motorcycle training where you'll become familiar with the identification of controls, mounting and dismounting techniques, engine startup and shutdown procedures, and shifting. A 2.5-hour classroom workshop will also teach you the basics of on-the-road safety.

Streetwise Cycle School provides beginners and experienced motorcycle riders training around the Boston and Foxboro, MA areas, via certified instructors that are both passionate and enthusiastic about riding. Instruction is given in two parts: one in a classroom where new techniques and safety training is taught, and the other on our riding range with on-motorcycle guidance. Weekend and weekday classes are available at both Boston and Foxboro, MA sites.
