What We Love

THE CHALLENGE: A 5K along with 3 military style challenge stations along the course. The Oregon National Guard will man each station and you will need to complete the challenge before continuing on course
THE COURSE: Enjoy a beautiful running experience in Salem's Riverfront Park, Wallace Marine Park, and over the Union Street Bridge
THE FESTIVAL: Fun for all ages at the Cherryfest NW. After the race, enjoy a free entry to the festival Wednesday-Saturday, a free beer or cider (21+). You will also enjoy live music, games and more 4th of July festivities

The 4th of July, it's one of the most fun holidays of the year. It's the middle of summer and everyone is enjoying the warm weather with cookouts and fireworks. This year, why not throw in a beautiful run in Salem's Riverfront Park, Wallace Marine Park, and over the Union Street Bridge? The Stars & Stripes Run is a true 4th of July experience for the whole family. Choose from the 5K Run, 5K Challenge and for the kids there is the half mile run. After the race everyone will have a blast with free entry to Cherryfest NW, formerly the Bite & Brew of Salem. All runners will be treated to a free beer or cider, 21+ of course. There will be live music, yoga, hula hoop contest, limbo challenge, water balloon toss and more 4th of July festivities.
