This October 6th you are invited to the Spirit of Oregon Half Marathon, 10K and 5K. This exclusive race takes you on a historic tour through Oregon's capital city, and is the only major road race that starts and ends at the Capitol. After conquering the race it is time to celebrate OR-Toberfest style. The Spirit of Oregon's post event experience will provide you with the best tastes Oregon has to offer. Each finisher will receive a sampling of beer, wine, and food from different parts of Oregon at the Capitol Mall! So sit back and relax, with your keepsake medal, listen to DJ music, and show your Oregon spirit! This is an experience not to be missed!

USEFUL INFO:

Online registration is required
All races start and finish at the State Capitol in Salem
You must complete the half marathon within the 2:45 time limit. The course and aid stations will be picked up following that pace. At 2:45, the finish line will need to be taken down
If you are unable to maintain the 12:40 per mile split and are past 1:20 total time at the 10K split, you will be asked to move to the sidewalk and will be doing so as a pedestrian without any further race support
Each finisher will receive a sampling of beer, wine, and food from different parts of Oregon at the Capitol Mall
Packet Pick Up Dates: Friday, October 4: 10:00am to 6:00pm & Saturday, October 5: 10:00am to 4:00pm at The Gran Hotel, Salem
There will be no race-day packet pickup
Anyone can pick up your race bib/t-shirt for you
You must keep the race t-shirt size you ordered. You can exchange for another race t-shirt after the event if sizes are left over
You must register two months in advance of the race in order to guarantee your race t-shirt size
Must be 21+ to partake in the alcoholic beverages

This was a fantastic race!! Excellently coordinated, from packet pickup to race day to post-race celebration. The Half Marathon race fee included a really awesome long sleeve tech shirt and medal, and drawstring bag. The route was well supported with happy volunteers and aid stations. Would definitely run Spirit of Oregon Half again, especially with the deal I got from Rush49! A++

When I first saw the really good pricing on this, I thought it was too good to actually be true. But, this is legitimately a great deal, and you get exactly what is offered! No hidden costs or fees. You purchase a voucher for the race entry, and you will get the voucher code as soon as you pay. The voucher is good to be used immediately, which I did.
