About

John McDonald began his journey toward sweetness through a friend and fellow beekeeper, who taught him the ins-and-outs of beekeeping basics. When John had built his own hive boxes, he quickly discovered that his honey harvest was more than one person could handle! Soon he was selling the golden nectar and teaching classes on beekeeping. In 2006, he founded San Francisco Honey & Pollen Co, teaching hands-on/in-hive classes where students can experience beekeeping to its fullest! In addition to beginning and advanced classes, SF Honey & Pollen also offers all sorts of bee-made products: every kind of honey, from creamed to raw, in lots of flavors, as well as pollen, seasonal wax, and all-natural beeswax candles!
