The Seattle Marathon 5k/10k Run + Walk & Kids Fun Run is coming to you on Sunday, August 26th, 2018 for its best year yet. Become a hero this summer and get moving with this 5K and 10K! For their 8th annual race, Seward Park will once again be the host of this year's event. Run/walk the gorgeous green paths along the scenic views of the water and take in the beautiful sights along the way. Pets on leash are welcome! Once you've crossed the finish line, cool down and stretch out with complimentary food and drinks. Whether you're a native or visiting for the run, this is your chance to show Seattle what you're made of!

From its humble beginnings in 1970 when a group of friends from the University of Washington decided to hold their own marathon, the Seattle Marathon Family of Events has grown into the largest combination non-profit marathon/half marathon in the Northwest and one of the top ten largest in the U.S. That first marathon 48 years ago sported 38 runners. This year, 15,000 participants are expected for their annual walking and running events. Join them for the Summer 5k/10k and Kids Fun Run on August 26th and for the Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon, Seattle's Original Hometown Marathon and Half Marathon on November 25, 2018.
