As Sir Francis Bacon once said, "Knowledge is power" - Now you can combine education and physical fitness in the Science Fest 5K, brought to you by Sandy Feet Events. Start your day with a brisk 5K run (or walk) along the beautiful Mission Bay. Afterwards, the fun continues at the Science Fest, where kids and adults alike can learn how to make natural goo, test their fate in a pool of Oobleck, or dress as their favorite scientist in the festival photobooth. All proceeds of this festival benefit Science Delivered!, a non-profit mobile lab that brings scientific activities to kids throughout the San Diego area. Whether you're a Marie Curie or Bill Nye the Science Guy at heart, this is your a chance to make some memories and practice the scientific method on a variety of educational activities, all while supporting a great cause.
