The first ever Petrified Forest Marathon takes place on a scenic, point-to-point course during the cool fall air. It starts on the north end of the Petrified Forest National Park and, goes straight south winding through the park to the south end. The road through the Petrified Forest National Park is 28 miles long and is ideal for a Marathon. There are only 125 spots available for our inaugural race so register now before all the spots are gone.

About

The Inaugural Petrified Forest Marathon will take place on November 1st 2014. The race will start at 7:00 AM from the north end of the park and finish at the south end. You will park your cars at the south end and be bused to the north end for the start of the race. The buses will load at 5:00 AM from the South Parking Lot. Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged.

The course has lots of small hills and has a net altitude loss of about 400 Feet from the start to the finish. Their will be 16 aid stations along the route.
