ParagliderRides.com uses a payout winch towing system to be able to launch instructional tandem flights in the calm morning and afternoon air and do not need to rely on a specific mountain site to have the right wind and weather conditions. Because the locations they take you to work with any wind direction, cancellations are much less likely. They are also able get their student passengers much higher on tow compared to a more challenging mountain launch.
