With the number of officially documented Orchid species standing at 25,000 plus, not to mention hybrids, it is definitely no surprise that the Pacific Orchid Exposition (POE) has been celebrating this fascinating, unique flower for 66 years running. This year's exposition promises to be the best yet. Held at the Hall of Flowers, it will offer over 150,000 unique orchids from around the world. The POE is rated by the American Orchid Society as the largest orchid show in the United States and the Bay Area itself is widely recognized as one of the best orchid growing regions in the world. Explore the exhibit of exotic and prize winning orchids with the opportunity to purchase blooming and non-blooming plants as well as growing supplies. The event is hosted by the San Francisco Orchid Society with the goal of promoting orchid education to it's members and to the public.
