So you just bought Final Cut Pro and still have yet to learn how to actually use it. You could take a weekend intensive or another class around LA, but they can be expensive (around $800) and taught by someone who doesn't have real world experience. We're here to help with that. Rush49 has teamed up with Breakintotv.net to offer a 4 hour seminar taught by Jonathan Novack, who has 13 years of experience in non-linear editing And Amy Amir, the Senior On-Air Producer/Editor at NuvoTV. She has over 10 years experiences working with FCP. Between the two of them students will learn everything they need to know to edit together their own demo reel or even web series.
If you want to edit video professionally, this workshop is a great introduction to Final Cut Pro 7, no experience required! If you're ready for something more than iMovie, start editing with Apple's legacy non-linear editing application.
They will cover how to set up your computer so it works best with Final Cut Pro 7 and teach how to get your project off the ground - Basic Editing - Advanced Techniques. By the end of the class you'll be able to start from scratch on your own project, and get a timeline built.
Students must have a laptop with Final Cut Pro 7.0 or earlier.
This workshop will also cover:
- Exploring the interface
- Discussing and working on basic editing techniques and styles
- Learning to create a hosting/demo reel
- Overview of enhanced edits of Advanced Styles including Color Correction and Green Screen
