The L.A. Derby Dolls are Southern California's premiere all-female, roller derby league. The league was founded in 2003 by Rebecca Ninburg (aka Demolicious) and Wendy Templeton (aka Thora Zeen) and today boasts more than 150 skaters and volunteers, divided into five teams who skate on a banked track. As well as holding feisty action-packed roller derby matches, L.A. Derby Dolls also holds extremely popular training programs where young girls and adults can get their skate on and learn what it takes to become a roller derby diva.
