Description

You love watching stock car racing - now is the time to experience it yourself! With Al Lane's The Racing School at Thompson Motorsports Park you'll drive the most thrilling 5, 8 or 12 laps of your life. Before jumping in you'll get a brief orientation and they'll suit you up in racing gear to really make you feel like a NASCAR star. And then, you're off in a 560+ horsepower machine, just you and the asphalt. Driving at near race speeds is encouraged, so put that pedal to the metal and feel the rush. No experience necessary but a need for speed does help. Reserve your experience today!

Useful Info

Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license to drive
Must be between 5’-2” - 6’4” and between 125 lbs. - 340 lbs. to drive
Passengers for Ride Alongs must be 14 years old or older
All of events are by appointment only
The Racing School is able to handle all levels of experience from complete novice to experienced racer
The whole driving experience will last about 2.5 - 3.5 hours long
You will need to arrive half an hour earlier than your scheduled time to fill out paperwork and get your suit and helmet
You are definitely welcome to bring family members along to watch
In cases of inclement weather, all participants may reschedule for a later date at no extra cost
You can select from an automatic or manual transmission
In-car videos and photography to remember your day at the racetrack are available for an extra cost

All of the events are by appointment only
You must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver's license to drive. If you cannot provide a valid driver's license you will not be able to race
You must be between 5'-2” - 6'4" and between 125 lbs. - 340 lbs. to drive
Pets are not allowed at the event
Sneakers or tennis shoes are also required. You cannot drive a racecar wearing boots, sandals or flip-flops. It is recommended you wear something light and comfortable as you will wear a driving suit over your clothes
