The best of Japanese Pop Culture is coming to the San Francisco Bay Area. Celebrate the diverse and innovative history of Japan, while discovering the latest music, fashion, anime, food, and gaming in a massive waterfront expo. However you enjoy Japanese culture, there's an event for everyone: Snag the best anime merchandise and original prints on Anime Lane or the SF Bazaar. Show off your best character costumes in a cosplay contest, and get down to a Odottemita Dance Contest. You will sing your heart out in the J-POP Idol karaoke contest, or dance the day away to live music headliners such as Anamanaguchi, DJ Ken Ishii, Eir Aoi, and Little Glee Monster. Immerse yourself in the lavish and authentic 'Ryokan' Inn at the J-POP Travel Area, and sample new spins on traditional Japanese dishes from some of SF's finest food trucks. Be one of the first to witness the newest IT gadgets and projects in a trade show and forum, with keynote speaker Kaoru Sugano. So throw on your best Kawaii fashion and head down the the marina because a slice of Japan awaits you!

About

J-POP SUMMIT, hosted by SUPERFROG Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a Japanese cultural festival held every summer since 2009 in San Francisco. By introducing the latest in Japanese music, fashion, film, art, games, tech-innovations, anime, food, as well as niche subcultures, the festival has become a landing platform for new trends from Japan. The festival is also getting attention as an effective opportunity for promotion and entry point into US markets. In 2014, the festival was held in Japantown and enjoyed 120,000 in attendance in two days. In 2015 in our seventh year, we expand the festival area to four different locations in the city; Fort Mason Center, Union Square, NEW PEOPLE Cinema and Castro Theatre.
