I visited the 4th & 3rd floors. Enjoyed both exhibits, Energy corridor and the Egyptian exhibits. Outstanding.

Fortunately, I have been to many museums in the US & abroad. I haven’t been to this ‘Houston’ museum in years. Taking a four year old to the museum, I felt it would just be a ’run of the mill’ event. To my surprise, it is one of the best museums I have been to. While the entrance fee prevents many lower middle class families from attending, it never the less, is worth the money.

I recognize the need for the extremely high ceilings for some displays but the placement of some high hanging NOISE BUFFERS would help with the so very high-pitched squeals by the little people would help. Those squeals hit the bones of the ears like a whistle from 2 inches away. I'm not knocking the parents who have brought their children. In fact, I applaud them but those squeals are tough to handle. ONE COMPLAINT...hang on to your little darlings. I got leg slammed a couple of times by 'runaways" that almost put me on the ground. WE LOVED OUR TIME AT THE MUSEUM!!

This is a great place for families or individuals. The Cockrell butterfly exhibit is especially enchanting. Be sure to visit the Cabinet of Curiosities while you are there.

This is obviously a well organized museum. It is beautiful and has very educational exhibits. Maybe because it was my first trip and I wanted to do everything at once, but it was a tad expensive. The special exhibits cost $9 to $12 to add to the initial entrance fee of $25. If I lived in Houston and had a membership, I could see going to the museum just for a butterfly exhibit add on. As a first time visitor, after $25 each for entrance and $20 parking, I didn't want to spend $12 to visit butterflies, $9 for IMAX, and $12 for the death exhibit. That's $58 each person, and there are exhibits I didn't mention for an additional fee. The gift shop is reasonably priced. I know with staff and building maintenance there are cost and it is well maintained. Maybe a package deal with a small discount. Visitors, just know it adds up.

The Gem and Mineral Hall was spectacular in all ways. Excellently curated and presented!

Excellent price for a ticket to HMNS. We were interested only in the Gem and Mineral Hall which exceeded our expectations. Beautiful specimens in natural form, cut form, and in jewelry. We also viewed the temporary exhibit of carved minerals to complete our day.

I loved the butterfly garden. It was spectacular. All the other exhibits were very interesting and creative.

The Houston Museum of Natural Sience is a wonderful place! It’s huge. Every corner is so interesting that we spent more than 3 hours there.

Rush49 worked great for HMNS. The Museum is fantastic! My son and daughter are 13 and they spent 4 hours there! Dinosaurs and Egyptians sections are the great highlights of the Museum.

We were there for 4hrs and didn't even see half of the exhibits! There was just so much to do and see! The paleontology hall was a special treat, as the layout is in chronological order and the displays are dynamic and engaging. I'm already planning our next visit!

This is the second time I use Rush 49, and I can't be more happy with the outcome. I save more than 50% in the general entrance, but when I said at the door of the special exhibit that I have a corporate discount those tickets come from #30 to $5 dollars each. Total savings $100 dollars... Awesome.

I took my 7 year old and 3 year old for the first time and they thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been there many times but never with my kiddos. My daughter got to ride a dinosaur and is now making her own crystal at home. Super neat experience!

This was an amazing museum! Try the birdly virtual reality flying experience! I did it 4 times!

I was worried that this deal was too good to be true, but it worked perfectly! We saved over half on our three tickets to the museum and had a great time. At the ticket booth, we decided to add on the special exhibit and they just charged us military rate for that add-on (I think $15/ticket). I will definitely be using Rush49 in the future!

I wasn't sure if it would be smart to buy this ticket in advance, but I am glad I did! I saved about 40% off the general admission price at the door! Great museum! I have been to other museums around the country, and nothing compares to the exhibits that are on display here! I especially enjoyed the Morian Hall of Paleontology (it's the size of a football field). So many prehistoric beasts on display! I also really enjoyed the Wiess Energy Hall on the 4th floor, so much cool stuff to see and learn about up there. I'm really glad I took time out of my day to go enjoy this beautiful museum downtown Houston.

The museum was an amazing experience with a wide variety of permanent and revolving exhibits. Beautiful clean facility with friendly and helpful staff. I even stumbled across a kids birthday party in the downstairs chemistry area which is geared towards younger minds and always makes me happy to see.

Exhibits very well presented. Note parking fees are not included in the ticket price and can add up to $20.00. If you want to park without paying, you will need to come early and park in the free parking surface areas about a block away.

We enjoyed the permanent exhibits. Then we decided to pay extra for an extra exhibit. Such a waste of money! Outrageously priced and should be included in the general admission.

So many great exhibits, you will want a good part of the day to look at everything.

Houston Museum of Natural Science is an awesome place with collection of specimens of wildlife creatures, dinosaur skeletons, evolution of humans, civilization of Africa & Egypt etc. 4th floor also has sci-fi setup of various tools/machines used in oil and gas industry

This place was full of wonder for the 9, 4 and 2-year-old I took! They loved it and we will definitely go again if we are back in Houston.

PLEASE note this is for regular exhibits only! refer to the HMNS. refer to the museum website itself first to compare prices, and to see which exhibits you want to go thru. many of them are special and your pass will not cover them. it does say this, but i didnt notice it or get that i would not be able to go thru many of the exhibits i want to see. so i will have to pay for each one of those as i go thru.

Great museum. Took two kids under 10 and everyone was entertained and learned some new things. Took us about three hours to visit each exhibit. Don't forget to get a map because it can get kind of confusing going from one area to another. We almost missed Egypt but found it as we were looking for elevator to leave. Great visit.
