Most people need a little extra motivation to get out there and run, sweat and burn calories. They need mundane activities like working out to be a little more...colorful. The people behind the ColorFunFest understand this, and have created a 5K fun run that quite literally, is as colorful as it gets. The ColorFunFest arrives in Houston ready to help you get in shape and look like a rainbow tornado while doing it. Wear all white to the race so your outfit can soak up every last color that will be blasted upon you as you race past one of five color stations. After you finish the most entertaining 5K around, there will be a massive celebration at the finish line complete with music and colors flying everywhere.

The ColorFunFest is based upon an ancient concept called Holi, which is a traditional color festival that takes place in India. ColorFunFest turned it into an entertaining 5K run, helping you get in shape while having an incredibly good time. The color is made of a non-toxic powder, and people are encouraged to finish the race in any style they see fit - run, jog, crawl or skip to the finish line. The more people can have a great time while shedding pounds, the more likely that they'll continue to work on their fitness and stay in great shape.
