Glittering Lights closes when the last car in line drives through. If you pull up at our listed closing time and there’s still a line of cars, hop in! You can still drive through. That means if they close at 9pm and there is a line of cars at 9pm and you happen to drive that sleigh up to the line at 9:01 or 9:05, hop in line
Glittering Lights is a drive-through ONLY event. You are welcome to drive slowly, roll down the windows, take photos, turn your music up, but you must stay in the vehicle. No bicycles allowed
Driving through Glittering Lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway takes approximately 40 magnificent minutes on average
This is a complete in-car experience
Concessions will be available

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the season pass work?

One ticket allows unlimited access to the 2021/22 season for up to two (2) family vehicles – NO simultaneous entry. In other words, you can’t take your two family cars through at the same time. One car at a time, please. Enjoy entrance through the Fast Pass lane (on valid nights) and even enjoy using your season ticket multiple times in one evening! Now that’s cheery. The Season Pass is not meant for commercial use.

How has Glittering Lights adapted to Covid-19?

Glittering Lights has been practicing social distancing since before it was cool. As one of the only holiday attractions available in Las Vegas this season, we pride ourselves on providing a safe experience for our customers.Guests drive through the lights in the safety, comfort and warmth of their personal vehicle. Glittering Lights staff members are temperature checked, and sanitizing on a regular basis. Contact-less Entry: Guests can purchase tickets online in advance and show them to our staff without even having to roll down their car window. Concessions can be pre-purchased.

Can we stuff a bunch of people on a truck bed?

You sure can. Many people meet up at the Speedway (usually the gift shop parking lot) and load up the truck bed. Bundle up. It’s colder than you think.

What is the height limit for motorhomes and tour buses?

Tour buses are welcome and must be under 11 ft. in height. Our light show goes through the grandstands of Las Vegas Motor Speedway and that’s the highest we can allow. Admission for buses is an additional $2 per person. If your headcount at $2 per person is less than the nightly minimum, you will pay the nightly minimum for the Weekday, ANY DAY, or FAST Pass ticket price. (Say you have 9 people on your bus, that would be $18 – so you would still pay $35 for an ANY DAY ticket. Say you have 30 people on your bus, that would be $60.)

What is the fast pass line.

Fast Pass lets you skip the longer general admission line (which can be at least an hour or two this time of year). If you've been to Disneyland, it works in a similar way. ?? It is at a premium price but it also means you may wait 15-20 minutes or less instead of 90 minutes!

What are the blackout dates that apply?

Can I be on a motorcycle?

Yes! The only limit we really have is height (a vehicle that goes through can't be taller than 11').

What time do you open on December 23rd. ? Can I purchase the tickets at the gate

Sorry guys, this is a terrible event. It seems like a good idea on paper, and maybe some families and children won't mind the problems... But for us, after waiting in a car line for OVER AND HOUR AND A HALF, only to get over-charged and dinged for more money at the gate after we already paid online, to then get hit up for other unwanted contributions and purchases and zero good snack options, only to finally get to drive through the supposed "Glittering" lights which come to find out amounts to nothing more but a bunch of sponsored adverts repetitively strewn about in a concrete speedway parking lot, which forces you to ponder, "what the heck were they thinking? This couldn't be any less Christmassy if it were placed in an apocalyptic industrial waste zone off of a New Jersey turnpike!"... well none of this was worth it. You're literally paying to sit in traffic, and bicker with your unruly family stuck in the car like stressed out sardines. Plus, I can see more charming and creative decorations in my very own neighborhood without any line at all for free.

The year before we waited in line for about 3 hours to get into the event. This year there was no line and we were able to drive right up to the gate within minutes.

This is a wonderful annual family night for us. Grandkids enjoy looking at all the lights. They don't enjoy the wait, but love it as we drive through the light displays.

I enjoyed and appreciated the lights. I did not appreciate being told that New YearsEve is a holiday, and being charged an additional $6.00. New Yearâ€™s Day is a holiday, please be clear on your web site as to what you consider to be holidays.
