Think the 80's are dead? Think again! They're coming back -- big time -- in DC Running Club's inaugural 5 Mile Disco Roll Or Run. Pouf up that hair, put on those shoulder pads and pull up those leg warmers, then strap on your old school skates--this is how the event rolls! You'll begin the 5-mile course at the waterfront in Hains Point West Potomac Park, making your way up to the finish line--all while jamming out to gnarly 80's tunes. Don't wanna skate? This race gives you the choice to run the course, too. Once you get to the finish line, a post-race meetup will be held at one of D.C.'s most exciting venues, The City Tap House. If you're missing the 80's, or even if you weren't born before the 80's but love a good eighties outfit, this is the event of the year for you!

The DC Running Club was founded in 2008 as a nonprofit organization, dedicated to engaging the DC, MD and VA communities. Walkers and runners of every age and all abilities are encouraged to participate to get fit and healthy, with some of the club's proceeds benefitting local charities. The DC Running Club holds a number of events throughout the year, including the 5 Mile Disco Roll Or Run, The 12Ks of Christmas run, and The Runway 5K.
