Run the race in style this year with DC Running Club's Runway 5k. Unlike other 5K events, this one is geared only to the ladies and encourages a race where "fashion meets fitness." This means you get to strut your sartorial stuff while walking or running your way to the finish line--which just so happens to be a red carpet. Once you make it onto the red carpet, pose for a photo (with the long stem rose you'll be given) and proudly show off that custom Runway 5K / 5 Miler medal. After you've completed the course, attend the post-race brunch to mix and mingle with your fellow fashionistas. Staying fit has never looked so fierce!

About

The DC Running Club was founded in 2008 as a nonprofit organization, dedicated to engaging the DC, MD and VA communities. Walkers and runners of every age and all abilities are encouraged to participate to get fit and healthy, with some of the club's proceeds benefiting local charities. The DC Running Club holds a number of events throughout the year, including the 5-Mile Disco Roll Or Run, The 12Ks of Christmas run, and the Ultimate Football Fanatic 5K race.
