Join the Credit Union SACTOWN10, where you'll start off (and finish) at the spectacular Capitol Mall, and see the best of Sacramento along the way. You'll choose the course that's right for you - whether it's the 10 mile or the 5 mile run. Once you cross the finish line, a post race festival awaits with refreshments, You can also get friends to sponsor you and pledge toward a worthy cause: the Children's Miracle Network. That means, even as you do something great for your own body, you'll be helping heal the bodies of millions of children in 170 children's hospitals nationwide. There'll be prize money and more than enough smiles to go around - don't miss Sacramento's premier running event

Fine Print

This deal is nonrefundable
Must register online prior to participation
No pets allowed on the course
No unregistered runners, walkers or pacers
Wearing headphone, iPods or Walkman-type radios is discouraged
No strollers, baby joggers, inline skates or bicycles
Race services are limited to a 1:00 finish time (20 minute/mile pace) in the 5k and a 2:30 finish time (15 minute/mile pace) in the 10-mile. Anyone proceeding slower than this pace must follow pedestrian rules, and race management cannot guarantee that finish times of these finishers will be published
No one other than the runner who officially registered may use the bib number with timing tag issued to that runner. Transferring and/or selling your bib is illegal
Bib numbers must not be altered, should be worn on the front of the runner, and be clearly visible at all times

The Sacramento Running Association was founded in 1982 as a not-for-profit, bent on bringing world-class running events to the Sacramento area. In 1983 they held the first California International Marathon, and since then, the SRA has been off and running! Their expanded focus now not only includes creating events that will appeal to top athletes, but also making sure their events encourage people of all ages to develop healthy lifestyles and learn the benefits of running. They also partner with UC Davis Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network hospitals, making every step count toward healing for millions of children across the US and Canada.
