Take in the scenery while running this Boston Qualifier course off of the Gulf of Mexico. Start with a vibrant (and luckily, flat) trail through Gulf State Park before hitting the coast. You may not have to beat the heat, but you'll get all the sights and sounds of a beach run while topping off your half or full marathon across the sands of Gulf Shores, Alabama. Once you've triumphed at the finish line, celebrate your victory at The Hangout, where you and fellow participants can toast to a marathon well done with drinks, food, and music entertainment. Wanna get the party started early? Come to the Hangout for a pre-race expo on the 30th.

The inaugural Big Beach Marathon and Half Marathon will take place in Gulf Shores, Alabama, known for its white sand beaches and clear Gulf of Mexico waters. Boasting a flat and fast Boston Qualifier course, the marathon reveals beautiful scenery as it runs through the paved trail system of Gulf State Park before finishing the last 3 miles on Beach Blvd with great views of the Gulf of Mexico. The race starts and finishes at the entertainment & dining epicenter of Gulf Shores, The Hangout.
