This event is a family friendly event - all kids 12 and under are free
Altered dogs on leash are welcomed. No Female dogs in heat. Dogs attending should be social & friendly with other dogs and people. Dogs should be comfortable with crowds. Dogs displaying aggressive behavior as determined by staff will be asked to leave. Dogs must have up to date vaccinations

Description

There are two things everyone loves - puppies and beer! For too long it has been almost impossible to celebrate both in a public setting - enter Barks & Brews Fest. On August 21st, grab your fur babies and come out for a day filled with craft beer tastings from dozens of breweries, great food and the vibrant surroundings of the San Diego bay. This event will feature a variety of local vendors, breweries and some of San Diego’s best eats. Dogs can run free in a designated unleashed area for small and big dogs, compete in one of the pet friendly contests, relax in one of the lounges, or participate in one of the unique activations provided for your pleasure. Enjoy the day with your family while eating awesome food, sipping on a tasty beverage, or shopping local boutique vendors. Soak up the sunshine while listening to tunes by local artists all day long with bayside views, or dance the afternoon away with your pup with puppy minded music for everyone to enjoy. Useful Info

Must be 21+ to consume alcohol, but all ages will be welcome to attend the event
Altered (spayed or neutered) dogs on leash are welcomed. No Female dogs in heat. Dogs attending should be social & friendly with other dogs and people. Dogs should be comfortable with crowds. Dogs displaying aggressive behavior as determined by staff will be asked to leave. Dogs must have up to date vaccinations
All dogs must be kept on a leash, no longer than 5 feet at all times except when in the unleashed areas
There will be 2 separate fenced areas for your pups to run and enjoy themselves off-leash. One section for large dogs and one for small. Please bring bags to clean up after your pet. Water will be available as well as some treats, and other pet friendly activations. We will also have many different pet related vendors to shop, learn about and interact with
Music will be played at a volume that is enjoyable for both animals and humans. There will also be a silent puppy disco to dance the afternoon away with your pet
There will be food vendors on site selling a variety of different food for your eating pleasure
There is no parking at the venue. We recommend you take Lyft or Uber to the event
There are 2 parking lots towards the entrance to Seaport Village between the Hyatt and Cheesecake Factory. Space is extremely limited there as well so please plan accordingly. As always, if you plan to consume alcoholic beverages, DO NOT DRIVE!

There will be specific dog contests throughout the day for those that want to participate. Winners will be judged by a panel of local judges including members from the Barking Lot, Five Group and other local industry and business professionals. One winner will be selected for each contest and will receive prizes and gifts valued at above $250. Please stay tuned for specific contest information
