Welcome to the Barbarian Challenge. Here, fear is not an option, so check your insecurities at the door and strap on your armor. You won't know what to expect on this course - last year's battlefield was 5 miles and contained obstacles, mud, water, and a few more surprises. This is not your average 5K family run - this is for all the families, friends, athletes, military and gladiators who enjoy whacky, crazy, keep-you-on-your-toes adventures. You've gotta be willing to get dirty, get desperate, and dig deep into your inner strength to push on through the end, where a Barbarian Bash with booze, food, and swag awaits. Bring a change of clothes, a can-do attitude, and your best Barbarian battle cry.

The Barbarian Challenge is the "hardest race you'll ever love" according to the brave souls who've tried it before, and always come back for more. With unexpected turns and obstacles, each race is different, but they stay true to the Barbarian Brutality and pack a powerful punch. You can create a team (form a Tribe) or run as a solo athlete; you can train and gear up or just take it in stride and find creative ways to tackle what lies ahead. If a water challenge is more than 5' deep, there will be an alternative route for non-swimmers. All in all, this is one challenge that will bring out the inner warrior in every participant, no matter your level of athletic ability. You'll go home strong, fiercer and muddier than you arrived.
