After being in film production for 20 years, the two founders gave inception to AYC to bring a little bit of Boston to LA. It was a place that they themselves will be interested in going to: a place that emphasized the social aspects of dining which we thought began with sharing food and the enhancement of being able to try a lot of different things on a normal appetite. A wine program was a must, modest though it is, and a group of house cocktails rounded out the concept of an informal, affordable neighborhood restaurant/bar for the eater and the drinker in equal measure. They named it after their beloved former neighborhood in Boston where they both toiled in the restaurant business and where the seeds of our project were planted.
